Calvary Cemetery, Lexington, Kentucky
October 15, 2005

This Catholic cemetery is directly across the street from the Lexington Cemetery.
I'd never noticed it before until yesterday, (I wouldn't make a very good detective because
it's not a small cemetery, and the statues here practically call out for you to come
in and look around) and was so very pleasantly surprised to find such a beautiful
cemetery right there where we already were, no hunting for it!

The statuary here is just breathtaking, and it's so very clean and well tended. I loved visiting
here, and if you enjoy visiting cemeteries, put this one on your list, it's well
worth the time! I have more pictures posted here, than usual on a cemetery page, but let them
load, I think you'll enjoy them..

Just a note about this mausoleum pictured below. Mikyla started to knock on the door,
her aunt Lisa told her to, to see if anyone will answer. I told Mik not to, that it's
disrespectful, but the jr. ghosthunter in her can't seem to let her help herself. She
knocks (timidly) on all crypt doors, just before stepping hurriedly away, just in case.
She tapped on this one, and then hurried back to me, and I could have sworn I heard a
telephone ringing in there...
