Photos of Ghosts
Updated October 5, 2005

It never really occurred to me to actually go out and seek out spirits. I went from cemetery to cemetery looking for nice dark shots for my card shop, and yes, secretly I hoped I'd get an orb, or an apparition. Wouldn't that make a cool card? I had in my mind some shots others had gotten, one in particular where a transparant woman perched on a stone bench by a tombstone. Cemetery after cemetery, disk after disk, I got my shots, always hoping for something more. But it never happened. I didn't even get a single orb.

The best pictures I ever got of "spirits" were taken by accident - at times when the thoughts of capturing a ghost were the last thing on my mind. They're not bad photos, they're mine, they're authentic, and I know that because I took them myself. I know what camera I used, and I know what was supposed to be there, from what actually turned up on the photo.

If you'd like to see them, click on the small picture shot and it will take you to a page with the full sized photo and an explanation.

We went back to Whitaker this past Sunday (10-3-04) and I got a few neat photos:

This was taken on the haunted old Trestle at Artemus Kentucky (10-3-04):

This one came from Whitaker (10-3-04) too:

This one is from the Barbourville City Cemetery:

I got this shot yesterday (10-12-04) at New Bethel cemetery in Jarvis. I know there
wasn't anyone else in the graveyard, I didn't see anyone in the church lot either but for us...
but doesn't that look like a dark haired little girl sitting on a tombstone? I promise, I didn't let Mik get
out of the car this time because it was raining. There are 2 more faces/figures of children in this shot,
but I didn't circle them, can you see them for yourself?

On October 27, 2004, the night of the Lunar Eclipse, we went into the Barbourville City
cemetery with the permission of the caretaker, at about 8:30 p.m. est. The weather was warm,
almost muggy. I could only see the moon occasionally, there were too many clouds. Anyway...
Over by the Martin crypt, I put a music box and got most of these shots closeby.
How cool is that? Click the thumbnail to view the full sized image
