Tanyard Cemetery, Barbourville, Kentucky
Visited on Thursday, June 26, 2003

I loved visiting this old country cemetery. I was surprised to find that
I have a lot of family interred here. Tuggles, Warrens, Rice, Peters, and Scalf's -
most of them related on my grandmother's side.

On the way up the hill to the cemetery, this deer was keeping watch...

Eathel's grave, located in "Gramma's Garden", broke my heart, I hadn't known
she passed away. Bless their hearts, her family has her grave looking so pretty,
just like a small private park, complete with a garden bench, lawn chairs and a swing.

There are several homemade stones, marking older graves, and I think it's
pretty neat that someone would take the time to try to be sure that those
buried there have marked graves.
