It's been in the news, these men. 12 of them. I think 13 dead in all, counting the one at the entry whose body they found first.
I can't begin to imagine how their families must feel. My heart and prayers go out to each and every one of them.
Sometimes things happen and we sit and search, looking for a reason, trying to find some way to explain, to justify why things happen, but sometimes we just come up empty. That's how I feel about this horrible accident.
These men left notes to their families, assuring them they didn't suffer, they would just fall to sleep and, they said, would meet their loved ones on the other side.
I pray those notes bring comfort to their families in the long days of grief ahead. How horrible. What a sad sad situation, I'm at a loss to find words to truly express how badly this makes me feel.
