First of all, they're fine.. sore this morning, I'm sure, but otherwise fine. They had an accident in the truck yesterday morning while they were on their way to work. I've not seen the pictures of the truck yet, but from what they said the truck is totaled. This kind of accident can be deadly, so I'm looking at it as a lucky thing - God was with them because another foot out into the highway and I'm certain one or both of them would have seriously hurt or worse.
They were crossing 25 E, at the intersection when someone ran the red light and hit dad's front left fender. He was going about 65, so if he'd hit dad's door, I don't even want to think about that.
They said a car was stopped in the slow lane, but this black truck came from the passing lane, and it was black, it was dark and raining, and dad didn't see it coming until it was right on them. Just thankfully he takes that turn slowly and he wasn't in the right spot for them to be badly hurt. The other driver wasn't hurt at all, and after giving a report he was able to drive his truck away.
Shannon happened by on her way to take Ashley to school.. saw the wreck and stopped.. got dad into her van and took him to the hospital.. the ambulance took Lisa, because she had bumped her head.. better safe than sorry - and after they were checked out, dad was fine, lisa had a concussion, but both were released and went on in to work.. a little late, but safe and thank God for it.
