It was PSP 6, not 5 - and after uninstalling the Dell versions this computer let me install my disk.. sure it's an older version, but it still does what I need it to do, so it's all good! :)
Another rainy dreary day out there today.. a good day for snoozing!
I ran across a book I'd read a few years back, "A Child Called It" by David Pelzer, so as I couldn't sleep for coughing, I sat in the den and read it again. And again, I couldn't decided whether I believed some of those things he said his mother did or not. The cruelty, yes, the beatings, yes, the having been burned on the stove, yes, yes to almost all of it, but when I get to the part where his mom made him drink a teaspoon of ammonia (more than once) and where she locked him in a bathroom with a bucket of ammonia mixed with bleach, so that he had to inhale the vapors for hours, I just am having a tough time believing it. Wouldn't a teaspoon of ammonia have killed him? Wouldn't 3 or 4 drops of ammonia ingested into a child kill it? I am going to do a google search to see how poisonous it is. I can't open the cap on a bottle of ammonia without recoiling.. ugh, how could a mother do something like that to her child?
Woah, in the news this morning... a circumcision rite in NY is getting the attention of the State health department. It seems a baby died from an infection after a Rabbi sucked the cut and spit out the blood - a custom with ultra orthodox Jews. Shew Lord!

Dead Pets
Boy there's nothing good in the news anymore, is there?
My dang Neopets! I was up at 4 in the morning yesterday, and went to play Scorchy Slots - the jackpot was up to 250,000ish.. and I was determined to win. On another browser, I kept checking to see if someone had won it, I didn't want to play if it was down to 1000 points, and no one had.. and it wasn't going up by large amounts, so I figured that me and maybe 5 others were playing.. so I just kept playing, fast and furious, determined that I was gonna win.. but nooOoo.. my stubborn assed pet decided he was "bored" with Scorchy Slots after I'd spent a thousand points, and it refused to let me play anymore. I switched pets thinking I'd foil the stubborn thing, but nooOOoo.. it was bored too, and danged if they just flat refused to let me play! Rat Bastards! Only 62 more items to go and my shop will have 1000 things for sale! How cool is that?
I got another hit on a bill at Where's George yesterday too. So far that makes 8 out of about 1200 dollars worth of bills I've registered there. It's fun, you should try it!
However, I have no new hits on my Dead Pool bets this morning. Still just 2..and my year's almost up. (to play, not to live (I hope)!)
Bonnie was off last night, and she's off again tonight, so I don't have Joleybean, and tonight is Sarah's last night to work, she's there until 7, then she'll come get the girls, so I don't have any youngin's tonight. Unless Mikyla and Mallory decide differently. We'll see...
Mik asked me today when I'm going to take her Rollar Skating, we were supposed to do that last weekend but didn't get to, and this weekend I'm not feeling too well, so I doubt doing it now either.. maybe next weekend. I've not been on skates in years... egads I'll come home with a broken collar bone and a crushed butt bone, 2 broken arms and legs! How many here vote to con Sarah and Roy into taking her instead? I say let them have the fractures!
Oh, by the way, the groundhog saw his shadow, didn't he. Another Rat Bastard!
Mikyla got off to school just fine this morning, with her Morticia Addam's sleeves, and her lunch box too heavy to lift.. my head's thumping like a heartbeat so I'm going to go lay back down while the other 2 are sleeping, watch a little news and maybe do some dozing of my own.
