I loved that book and loved the movie more. I remember seeing it when I was a young lady...my parents took my sister and me to a cinema to see it in Michigan. After the movie was over.. we all went towards the doors, everyone going on over what a good movie it was.. and there was a couple of people in front of us.. one was a massive black man - he was just walking and then before our eyes, he walked spang through a big smokey colored plate glass window.. he said he didn't see the glass, it was dark outside and he thought it was an open door. That glass shattered into a zillion pieces. I don't remember seeing any blood, I really don't think he was hurt.. but I don't know which addled him the most.. that movie, or walking throught that glass...
Good night, Mr. Benchley.
