...Sarah took Maegan home, but she let Mikyla and Mallory spend the night again. Mik was napping on the couch and Mal just didn't want to go home. She pretty much stays where Mikyla stays.
Since Mik was sleeping, Mallory got to help me fix dinner all by herself. She got to help put the onions in the ground beef for ghoulash, oh she was in 7th heaven washing the vegetables for the salad, melting the butter and mixing in the garlic, for the garlic bread, and then mixing the pudding, setting the table, she loves doing those things, but that's usually Mikyla's turf and Mallory usually ends up just setting the table, or just getting out the vegetables.
While we were eating, I commented that I like butterscotch pudding, but I never make it because I'm the only one who will eat it.. Mal pipes up all seriously.. "Oh no you're not, Mammy, I'll eat it!!" *laughs* So I guess I have a butterscotch puddin' eatin' companion now. I'll have to make her some.
Mikyla woke up in a good mood for school this morning.. she wanted to wear flip flops, but I told her kiddo, it's so cold out there you'll freeze your toes off.. naturally she had to go onto the porch herself to see.. then she laughed, got her butt back in here and said oh no mammy it's waaaay too cold for flip flops. She's readier (like that word?) for spring than I am. I'm glad most of winter is over.
Joel had a bad cough yesterday.. he and Bonnie are sick with something again. Bonnie called in sick last night and didn't go to work, so we didn't have Joel for the night.
I better get off this computer, I have a lot of straightening up in here to do today.. and I have another ton of laundry that's just screaming at me from the bathroom. Ick!
