Werewolves...

Last night about 7 or so, I was flipping through the channels, and one station was playing a movie about werewolves. Mikyla was the only youngin here at the time, and she spotted the fangs and said "Oh Mammy... let's watch this one!"
I kept flipping and she got angry, just insisted she had to see the werewolf movie. Finally, not finding anything better to watch, and honestly wriggling my brows that my darling first granddaughter had my taste in movies, I turned it back on and we sat there with the lights low, sharing our Cheeze-Its, and watched this werewolf movie.

Intently we watched as 2 sisters eventually became werewolves, together forever.. sweet as werewolf movies go.. I myself prefer vampires, but this wasn't a bad movie. Bloody but touching, YES, it was.

We went to bed at bedtime, and for some reason, Mikyla got on my side. I relented, got on her side and we settled down to sleep. "You're on my side." I observed, staring at the ceiling. "Yes, and I'm staying here too." She informed me. "That's okay, you're by the closet, you're the first one a werewolf would get, not me." I yawned and neither of us heard Bonnie coming down the hall.

Bonnie had NO idea, no clue what we were talking about, but by the time she came into the room, Mikyla had turned onto her side, staring at me with big eyes, considering how she was on the rather unsafe side of the bed should a werewolf come in via the closet.

Bonnie, still silent as an Indian on a hunt in the forest just suddenly lay over the bed, over Mikyla and why she did it I'll never know, but she howled. *laughs* Like a werewolf. Mikyla shrieked and I took to laughing, and just as suddenly as she was startled she realized it was Bonnie and not one of the werewolf sisters from the movie, Mikyla started laughing too, with much relief, I could tell.. and she started blathering 100 miles an hour to Bonnie how we were just talking about how a werewolf would get her first seeing as how she was closest to the doors.

All the while she was scrambling over me and onto her own legitimate side of the bed. That was just too funny.

God love ya, Mikyla, I do so adore you!
