The Last Photos...

...I took of Midge.

She was down here from Sept 9 thru the 12th. My camera was dying, I wish I'd gotten to take more, but I'm glad I got these 4. I still can't believe she's gone.

I called Don tonight to see what were Midge's favorite flowers. He said carnations. I never knew that. I'm going to send some before the funeral tomorrow afternoon. He said that before she went into the hospital for the last time, they were talking about her funeral.. she was preparing him, telling him how she wanted things.. and he said he told her that if she did die, he would need a sign from her that she's okay, they agreed that she would flash the lights in the house for him, to let him know..today, he said those lights just took to flashing and then a peace fell over him. He said he's okay now, she gave him his sign, she's in a better place, she's not struggling to breathe, and she's doing better than any of us here are. Love his heart, I'm glad he got his sign. And I think he's right. She's in a better place now.
