Sarah said that she was drawing for Mikyla yesterday.. Mik was telling her what to draw, and sarah would draw it..
Mikyla: "Mommy, draw me a rainbow.."
Mikyla: ""Mommy, draw me a puppy..."
Mikyla: ""Mommy, now draw me a heart..."
Mikyla: ""...now draw me a princess.."
Mallory: ""Mommy...draw ME a Pizza!!"
*laughs*
Lordy that child sure does love to eat!
"Mammy, this is a fly swatter. Fly swatters are for killing flies, not for spanking butts. "
How's that for letting me know what's what?
Florida was BEAUTIFUL!! I think wanna live there! There are photos here from Georgia as well. Mercy I had a wonderful time, I want to go again! Everywhere I looked, there were palm trees, or orange groves, or both! It was so hot, it was like opening an oven door and leaning in to check something you're baking, each time I opened the door to go outside. I spent most of my time at the ocean, or at the swimming pool at Dad's. kentucky summers are hot, so I'm used to the heat, but florida summers, eep! It's like florida summers jackslap ky summers upside the back of the head and say, sit down, let me show you how it's done!
(My right shift key isn't working so I'm having a hell of a time with the html here and capitalizing the words on this thing! sorry!)
the drive there was nice, clear weather and it didn't start raining until we got about 3 miles from dad's. after that, it rained there for a solid week. we were able to get to the ocean every day, but only for an hour or two before the rain started all over again. florida has the most awesome, angry looking storm clouds I've ever seen, sometimes the sky looked downright pissed off!
the second week, it didn't rain too much and we were able to get outside more. when I wasn't on the beach, I was at the pool, it just seemed to me that anyone with any common sense at all would do that in the heat... just... my spf35 sunscreen was no match for the florida sun. I was extra crispy for a few days, wishing I'd taken spf1million! *laughs*
Nick had a good time too, when he wasn't sunburned.. but even with the burn, we couldn't keep him out of the pool, which meant burn on top of burn, which meant agony for him at night trying to sleep. and more agony for us having to listen to him go on about it.. *grins* stubborn assed kid!

the ocean was so pretty.. just like glass. even when it was rolling and waving and going on, it was just like glass!

sunsets were gorgeous, even in a cloudy sky...

and the sunrise was too...

The following pic of clinch mountain in tennessee was taken on the way home. I don't know if you can tell, but it's going straight down. that stretch of road always makes me dizzy, because it feels like the back of the car is going to start toppling over top of the front part, i'm serious, it's STRAIGHT down!

these lil rascals, pelicans, dad called them, were everywhere! the pics here of them were taken at sebastian inlet.

this big o' paint ball net was in georgia if I remember correctly.. it's the tallest one I've ever seen, looked like a backyard for fencing in king kong!

I thought this olympic torch in georgia was pretty neat too!

pelican island...

in dad's front yard..

sebastian inlet...

sebastian inlet...

this is a guard 'shack'.. the guard shacks around here in ky are somewhat different *laughs*...

no kidding, i didn't see one single stray dog, nor any cats, not one. in fact the whole time i was there, i saw one dog, one. on a leash being walked. i think this is why...

twice while we were there, they gave on the news about gaters being where they shouldn't be.. once on a school playground, and once beneath a woman's car. needless to say, before going outside, i peeked around a teeny opening in the door to be sure none were too close. these critters are all over the place down there. in one swamp over by where dad works, we saw 3 one night. *shivers* they're awesome to watch but I don't want to see one too up close and personal!
