Had to take Mallory.. she had 3 cavities.. (boo!) and is going to have one of them fixed next week.. guess what.. she gets a silver tooth. Boy-o is she excited about that. A Silver Tooth!
The tooth fairy better take out a loan when that baby falls out!

Like a dummy I forgot to get pics until he was getting in the car to go back home. If it stays nice this week, I'monna go get him and take him out for lunch. :)
It was 66 degrees this afternoon. Guess where the kids were while the weather was doing that?

The sun is shining, I think Spring is trying to get here!
Maegan's here jumping on my bed.. while watching SpongeBob...and she asked for a
Kwak-wak-wak-wak-wak-AH (Cracker)
She's talking really well.. she just doesn't know when to stop-op saying syllables.
I love it when she asks for a Cuk-uk-uk-uk-uk-uk-uk-uk-eee!! (Cookie)
Sarah's still trying to figure out what caused the big flash of light there last night - obviously that lady knows by now it wasn't Jesus - I'd love to be a fly on her wall today. I bet she gets 100 phone calls, nasty calls.. YOU LIAR!!
Some guy has been on the news the past couple of days.. he says he's found Jesus' Tomb. I bet she's heard just a tad of that, saw a transformer blow or maybe lightening strike and put 2 and 2 together and came up with 188. Anyway.. I'd hate to be her and try to explain that one today. Sheesh!
Well.. it's time for the kids to get in from school. More later!
I just got the strangest call from Sarah. I just had to share it here.
Mom?
Yes...
I know this is going to sound crazy, but did Jesus come?
Yeah, I know your eyebrows are up in the top of your hair line now, mine were...
Well.. if so, I missed Him, Sarah.. but I've been playing Spades...
Mom... something happened here.. there was a big flash of light over the trailor park, and then the dog.. which never barks, is barking like crazy.. the police sirens are going nuts, and the neighbor just came and knocked.. she said it was all over the news, that Jesus came.. that was the light we saw...
Oh.. oh.. well.. did she actually see Him?
She didn't say, she just said that's what they're giving on our news.
Well.. I'd not put much stock in it Sarah unless you see Him yourself...did you see it on your news?
But mom my television is out.. I get 3 channels clearly and they're all 3 out...
Okay honey, let me turn on the news... surely they'll have something about it on there if He's here.. hang on a sec...
I scratched my head and glanced outside and went back to the phone.
Nope, if He's here, they're keeping it awfully quiet...is your neighbor on the sauce? Maybe there was a plane crash, or a transformer blew...
No! She's like talking to Granny, Mom!
Well.. maybe you'll find out tomorrow she's a drinker.. or on something....and you have to call me tomorrow to let me know what the heck it was.. ok?
Okay Mom, sorry to call so late.. love you.
Love you too. G'nite.
G'nite.
God-a-mighty.
...woman probably didn't wait much on her man...
You go, girl! *laughs*
Artist/Band: Nichols Joe
Lyrics for Song: I'll Wait for You
Lyrics for Album: III
Lord help me, but whenever I hear this song I get so angry, frustrated with the song writer. UGH!! "I'll Wait For You."
The sentiment could be beautiful... IF the writer had done a verse or two say.. with the guy waiting for the woman once in a while.. but he didn't. He wrote that woman's whole life waiting for her man to get there for one thing or the other. Hell, she was in labor, and WAITED for him to get there before having her son.
It ends with the poor woman dying, leaving him a note.. because the sucker didn't get to the hospital in time, letting him know she'll wait for him at the the pearly gate.. she's dying and still he doesn't show up, something else keeps him away..as it did through their whole lives together (this is nothing new, she says repeatedly.. I'll wait for you) she'll tell St. Peter she's not gonna go in right now, she's waiting on her man.
If I've ever heard a morphed-redneck themesong, this is it.. and it's infuriating.
That's all the young ladies need to see and hear.. women, wait on your man. Yes! WAIT on your beer bellied-bird huntin'- bean fartin'- always late-never there even when you're dying ever lovin' man!
God-a-mighty.

WAY TO GO BONNIE & KELLY!!! I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In case you were wondering, the turkey was delicious. :) The only thing was...it was so small... after it baked.. it shrank even more... the poor thing, I felt so guilty.. wanting to eat it.. while it was hunkered up there on the platter looking lost and forlorn.. it looked more like a Cornish Game Turkey...or an Ethiopian refugee bird. I've seen bigger chicken breasts!
I called Bonnie and told her to come over.. didn't say why.. just that I wanted to see her.. she came and had a nice surprise Turkey dinner. That was nice. She and Kelly ate and then we settled back, looked at the mess and I commented...
The dishwasher's broken..
Oh that sucks for ya mom.
Yes.. it does.. I'll have to handwash these.
I gotta go.
And she went. But I love her. Sincerely!
I have a few photos.. the first 3 are from Mom. The first two I couldn't believe my eyes.. it's Joel sitting quietly, looking through a book. If he ever sat quietly here doing anything, I'd be compelled to take his temperature!

Aren't those sweet... He's getting so big!
I got my gas bill today. $325.00. After I woke from my faint I just stared at it awhile, I'm thinking it's a typo. Isn't it? If not, we must be getting shy on Natural Gas. They charged 15 bucks for something to do with research. I sure hope it helps them answer ever what it is they're questioning. Research is expensive. I understand.. it's February.. soon we won't be using heat anymore and they're gonna have to survive the summer months without their gas payments, and so they're getting it now in one fell swoop. Egads!
This next picture is Papaw.. he looks like he's sitting there waiting for someone doesn't he? I got one similar to this of Mikyla looking out of the door window when she was a baby.. she looked that same way.. waiting.. just waiting for someone who isn't ever coming. He's a darling.

You know.. the girls didn't go to school today.. so we took them to the doctor. I'm sure, just sure something is wrong with Mallory. A temperature doesn't just go up on a child then down and up, then down, unless there's an infection does it? Her's has been doing that and she's all headachy.. she looks bad in the eyes to me.. while Mikyla on the other hand.. seems like she's just fine. She was complaining with a tummy ache, but even that went away once she knew she didn't have to go to school.. yet.. after the tests docs do.. the throat swab for strep.. the nose swab for flu, listening to heart and lungs.. looking in their ears.. the doc said that Mallory is just fine.. not a thing wrong with her at all.. but that Mikyla has a nasty ear infection. Go figure.

Isn't that just the cutest little face?

Beautiful! She's looking a little pale. We really need to get outside now. Enough of the cold weather.. we wanna swim!

She's the happiest little girl.. except for when she's not getting her way...
Maegan is doing just fine. She has a runny nose again, but that goes with teething. She went full throttle all day today.
Oh! Speaking of pain... Mallory left her belt on the floor.. I didn't see it and I stepped on that little knobby part that sticks up from the metal belt buckle and WOWZA, let me let you folks who like to cut yourselves so you can feel something... toss a belt on the floor and walk on that sucker with the heel of your foot. I betcha feel that! Yeouch!
Thanks Jana, that vanity was a trip. I swear to you.. Dippy had some pipes duct taped.. I had to stop him. Then he wanted to use Velcro. Honest to God Velcro. *laughs* That's something I never, EVER want to attempt to do again.
I worry that the Velcro will come loose when we're least expecting it!
You be safe this weekend.. have fun, and HURRY BACK! The world's tilted when you're away!
Velcro.
G'nite, World!
The girls are home sick today...Mallory didn't sleep well and had a fever this morning and Mikyla said she was just too sick to go. So I just gave Mallory some Tylenol and let them go back to sleep. The next time I'll check them first before I put on biscuits and sausage. What a waste of time and food!
I think Mallory has an ear infection, but I'm not sure about Mikyla. She already told me last night that she wouldn't be going to school today. I told her she has to go...she said no.. I'm not going. Very firm she was about it too. I said, Mik...you'll get in trouble missing school honey you have to go.. you could even get me in trouble for not sending you. Her reply? Too bad. I'm sick, my stomach hurts, they won't let me call to come home if I'm sick and I am NOT going, and that's final. I know Mallory truly isn't feeling well.. but I can't tell about Mikyla.. she's cranky, yes.. but otherwise seems fine. Maybe she's just 'sick' of school? A visit to the doc today for both of them should cure what's ailing them. So far Maegan seems alright. Lord I'll be glad when school's out for summer vacation, and the warm weather runs off these viruses.
I'm roasting a turkey for dinner. It's smelling so good.. so holiday-ish in here right now. It's just a small one.. not much bigger than a baking hen. I like to simmer the neck and innards and then use the broth in my stuffing..and while I was putting the parts in water this morning I got to wondering... do you suppose that the innards which were stuffed into bags then into the turkey that I'm baking are the actual innards that were in the thing while it was alive? Or.. do you think that when they're slaughtered the innards all go into one great big vat and you just get whichever one some machine chooses and stuffs back into your bird after it's been defeathered and cleaned? Naturally I got to thinking about pissed off ghost turkeys stumbling around, crawking about how they want their own hearts back. Anyway..ever which heart I got in there boiling now...it sure does smell good. Boy that sounds vile, transformed from a private thought into public words, doesn't it? Anyone wanna come over for dinner?
I would have gone back to bed...but.. I do have that turkey in the oven and my mind goes back to a few Christmasses ago when my oven caught fire...it would suck if that happened and no one was awake to catch it and put it out, wouldn't it?
I was reading the news this morning.. they still haven't buried Anna Nicole Smith. (shew!) The judge is supposed to make a ruling by Friday though so she can be buried by the weekend. How awful for her family. Ugh!
And China thinks too much net isn't a good thing, they're giving shock therapy to folks who use it too much. I'm glad I'm not in China...I'd have burn marks all over me. They sure are strict there, aren't they? One thing though they need to think about.. when their citizens are online, they're not making more babies. Just a thought there, Chinese leaders.
China Gets Strict on Net Users
I saw a little bit about Brittany Spears.. cool haircut isn't it? Her poor head will start aching in a couple of weeks.. when I had mine like that it felt like my scalp shrank. A permanant too tight pony tail. I think she'll probably regret that.
Now see.. to me.. this is just so wrong..
Huge Octopus Caught off Antarctic Coast
At 990 pounds it's the biggest one ever caught. Took them over 2 hours to get it into the boat. It's frozen now, on its way to a museum to be studied and preserved. I think they shoulda let it go. Take a photo.. then let it go. It grew to be that big, it deserved a little respect. When I think about the catch and release program for an every day average fish, it just seems wrong for them to have kept this squid. Don't some people do the silliest things? They've been finding more and more odd and huge sea creatures lately, haven't they?
Shame on me.. I don't click the links that tell about Iraq anymore.. I don't click the links that tell about Iran or Cheney or Troops or the war. I wonder am I the only one or are most other folks ignoring it too. We shouldn't ignore it, but it's just gotten so old with me. I'm just tired of hearing about it. Shame on ME!
Now this.. this is more like it.. I can read this.. this doesn't make me sigh and roll my eyes. THIS is news. *laughs*
KFC Asks Pope to Bless New Fish Sandwich
Ok world, Maegan's awake.. the day has officially started. Be safe and have a good one!
...over from a desk to a vanity. It didn't die after all. I like it!

...someone named Mikyla took it into her head that we just had.. just HAD to go to the movies tonight to see Bridge to Terabithia. I guess I spelled that close enough. And someone else...they call Mammy said sure, why not... earlier in the day when I actually felt like I might feel like taking them to the movies. By 4:00, Mikyla had only asked me 3,827 times when we were going.
We'd invited Nick and he was as excited as Mik and Mal were, so.. by 5 I was getting ready...eyeing the snow flurries warily...trying from time to time to talk her out of going and just staying in by the fireplace, baking some brownies and watching a dvd.
As it turned out, while I was getting dressed.. who came in? Sarah and Roy. They hadn't told any of us they were coming. So I thought, okay.. they won't want to go to the movies now, they'll want to stay and visit with their folks.. because they're going back to Mississippi on Monday. But NooOOOooo.. Mom came in with Nick and Mal.. Mal had been at her house and had a fit when she found out that Sarah was here...made Mom bring her home. *laughs* Mallory started begging Sarah to get ready to go with us to see the movie. Sarah was tired though and had some errands to run.. she said no.. and since Nick was here, I wasn't about to disappoint him, girls or no girls so I thought, hey.. we can watch Ghost Rider instead. Nick was all for that. :)
But Mik and Mal weren't about to go with Sarah and miss the movie. Sarah and Roy took Maegan up to Dianne's and we all went out to dinner then to the movies. The girls decided they wanted to see Ghost Rider instead of the other one..and ohhhh what a neat movie! It was rated pg13, but still after watching it for a time, I think it was too much for Mik and Mal (but they loved it) too scary,
but I really enjoyed it.. I especially love how they used the old ghost rider (Sam Elliot - Egads, I love him!) & his horse, with the modern ghost rider (Nicolas Cage) and his motorcycle. That was really worth going to see.
When we got out after the movie, it took us over an hour to get home. The roads were just pure ice. I don't think they put down salt, or calcium or anything, if they did it sure didn't help. What a trip. We don't get lots of snow, but the roads here are so curvey and they just get scary to be on when it's slick out there. Anyway.. we had a good time, we got home safely and it's still snowing out there.
l hope we wake up to one that's waist deep - I'd love to get out there with the girls and build a gigantic snowman! I tell them how deep the snows used to get here when I was a girl and they look at me like I'm addled, not believing me.
Anyway.. here's our snow.. it's pretty. Everything looks clean but boy it's cold out there!

Mallory is going to be so mad at Sarah tomorrow.. Sarah promised to come back here to stay with them tonight, but their road is terrible and by the time we got home I knew it would be too dangerous for them to be out, and Sarah didn't want to get out in it. Sarah will just have to take her Mallory-nagging like a big girl!
I should be in bed, but for some reason I just can't sleep at night. I've finally just stopped trying and have accepted the fact that it's not gonna happen.
Oh!! I found my rings! Or more precisely I should say that Mik found them. They were in my ring box in her sock drawer. How they got there, I'll never know. I've looked in that sock drawer at least 70 times since I lost them weeks ago.. putting Mik's socks away when I'd do the laundry.. and getting them out for her for school.. I could SWEAR that ring box wasn't in there. Anyway.. I gave her the 20 bucks I promised I'd give her if she found them for me.. boy am I glad they weren't gone forever. That would have broken my heart.
I've been trying to find a star sapphire forever. I have an aunt who had a beautiful star sapphire and pearl ring when I was a kid, I wanted that ring so bad I could taste it.. and I'd kill to find one like it now. I'm watching on ebay, so far no luck.. but.. it can happen!
Speaking of killing...tomorrow.. I'm going to kill this:

It's been begging for its life since we bought it a couple of days ago.. screaming at me.. PLEASE DON'T DO THIS VILE THING! I want to live! NOOO!
Don't kill me! I beg you!
Lisa heard it too..and so did Mom. But.. it's going to happen. I'm almost certain of it.
Stan says it isn't going to die.. it's just going to change forms.. *laughs*
We'll see. If it doesn't die.. if by some slim chance it makes it.. that it pulls through, I'll show a photo of it when I'm finished with it.
Okay, it's past 3 - I think I'll go watch another Roseanne re-run.
G'nite world, stay warm, and stay safe!
Mikyla took it into her head this morning that she wanted to have a party. I just nodded, sat to get awake, and forgot about it. The next thing I knew, she was on the phone with Mom and the two of them planned out their party. What was this party for? I don't know, just to party.. we want to boogie, Mik said. So... we had to go get a cake, and some party things, and off to Mom's we went this evening for a Party for No Reason. Candles and all.
The strangest thing about this Party for No Reason... was that Mikyla invited Bonnie and Kelly and Joel..and they came. When Bonnie got there, she asked me to go in the other room, said she wanted to talk to me. It turns out, she's going to have a baby.. so the Party for No Reason, turned into a Welcome To Our Family party for the new baby! How 'bout that?

Congratulations, Bonnie & Kelly!!!
Nana sent the girls little Teddy Bear balloon boquets for Sarah. Boy it tickled them to death to get them too.. the cards on the bears, "From Mommy and Daddy" thrilled them most of all!

Mallory tied one of her balloons to her ear.. crazy kid!

Doesn't Joel look nice in his new glasses?

Dippy gave me these..

Thank you, Dippy!
Bonnie gave me these..

Thanks Bonnie & Kelly & Joel!

Lisa and Mom brought us a ton of gifts!

Thanks you guys, that was too neat!!!
...is Valentine's Day.. have a good one everyone!!
Happy Valentine's Day!!
Mikyla likes to shake her head and make her hair bounce.. she loves this cut!

Mmmmm!

Ohh, the legs were good, but will you look at that big o' hunk of chicken? Soo.. you been holding out on me, eh, Mammy? Dat's the one I want.. yeah.. mhmm... oh baby...

...that there's not enough pics of the kids on here lately.. so here are some I took tonight. Enjoy them, Sarah!

Mikyla and Mallory are two of the biggest fighting siblings I've ever seen. Yes, they fight even more than my own sis and I fought. They will fight over who started the fight. I don't mean just quarreling, I mean downright pinching, hair pulling and kicking. They're both equally spoiled, petted to death, so there's no jealousy in play here. In fact, if I threaten to spank one of them, the other jumps in to her defense. The only thing I've found so far that works is to just totally seperate them. Putting them in seperate rooms makes it impossible for them to fight. However, it's not always practical. Maybe one of these days I'll come up with a solution.
The other day they got into it over a doll. I heard the commotion from the kitchen and I called out to them to stop it. They did stop, but Mallory came running in to tell on Mikyla..
"Mammy, do you know what she did?!"
"I don't want to hear it Mallory..."
She shot back lightening fast, with her hands on her hips and stomped that foot, "Well You're gonna hear it!!" Then she proceeded to tell me what Mikyla had done. I couldn't help it, when she informed me I was gonna hear it, it was all I could do not to crack up laughing and that wouldn't have done a thing but made her more angry. Sheesh.
Finally, as the evening wore on.. they got into more and more quarrels and they eventually got into a pinching match. I got a switch. Their eyes got big and they stood there staring and I told them.. "I just don't have the stomach for this. You two can just switch each other. You don't like each other anyway, you just want to hit and pinch and fight and go on, here's the switch, now have at it..."
Mikyla's eyes.. ohhhh the look in those eyes. She took that switch with relish and turned to Mallory as if she had total control of the universe and she was dang well gonna use it.
Quietly I said..."Just remember Mik.. she gets to use it on you when you're done."
I could see those wheels turning in her head.. she nodded and Mal turned around, put her behind out so she could take her spanking..and oh you never saw such gentle little taps with a switch in all your life.. tap.. tap.. tap. A limb swishing against a window in a bit of breeze hits the window with more impact than Mik used on Mallory. Smart kid that one. Then it was Mal's turn. I was a little concerned.. because Mal's smart too.. I was scared she'd think.. okay.. I got mine over, it wasn't bad.. but I'm gonna really give Mikyla a switching she won't ever forget. So I stood there ready to grab it should she swing it back to use it hard. She didn't though.. three little loving taps. That was it.
The fighting was over for the night. They played together like sisters should. Strange, eh?
...look at the pics of Papaw back in October when he first moved in with Mom..and then look now..

Without even a walker.. he looks like he's saying "Tada!!"

Mom thanks for the pics.. I'm so proud of you I could bust! He's doing GREAT!!!
Way to go!!!!!!!!!

Isn't that sweet? She likes the part to be zigzagged.. and the ends turned up. Of course after all day at school, it's unkempt, but this morning it was laying just perfectly, and really did look pretty. :)

Mallory shot for as little hair as possible. She absolutely hates getting her hair brushed, no matter what we use.. even children's detangler sprays.. her hair still gets all tangled in back and she has a tender scalp. I'm sure that's why she chose this cut, but I'm glad she did, it suits her, makes her look like an athelete. Adorable, Mal!
I hope everyone had a good weekend, we sure did. :) We took the girls to get their hair cut yesterday - they went through this book and picked out their own cuts, and it surprised me that they chose such short ones. I like them though, they're so much easier to take care of, and no tangles! Yay! Dummy that I am though, even while I had my camera right with me all day yesterday, I didn't get one photo of them with their new 'do's'.
When we got home, I found some strange things happening. (Hear the song?)
The Barbie stove which had made all that racket back when Midge was dying, we'd put on the porch, remember? No more noises from it after Midge passed away, not a peep - well it's at it again. Constant beeping since yesterday evening when we got home, it's still doing it this morning. One monotonous beep after the other. Then I went into the bathroom, and the hot water was on in the bathtub. Just enough to stream, and use up all the hot water. I know that wasn't on before we left. I check for that stuff. Obsessive compulsive.. are the lights out, coffee pot off, water dripping, windows closed, doors locked.
Uh huh.
Something else was off kilter too, but I can't recall now what it was...then this morning, Mallory put the frosting on the cake.. talk about freaking me out. She didn't know I was watching her.. she was standing in the den at the stairs, and she was just bouncing around, squirming watching tv, Mallory style, slinging her backpack back and forth and she just suddenly looked into the kitchen, past me, towards the hall. The expression on her face sent chills down my spine, I didn't say anything right away, I just watched her, and yes, I admit I really didn't want to turn my head to see what she was looking at behind me, but that expression on her face forced me to look, but I didn't see a thing. She was standing there staring, stock still, with huge eyes and I said Okay Mallory, what's wrong, what are you looking at? Nothing! She answered me quickly, so I knew she wasn't in one of those staring seizures you hear about. I said nothing my eye, what are you staring at like that? She said Mammy there's something in the bathroom. I said Now Mallory you can't possibly see in the bathroom from there.. maybe down the hall a little but not in that bathroom. She said no, I can't see in the bathroom, but I can see the light and I saw the light move. I'm supposing she saw a shadow in the hall of something that moved in the bathroom. That's what she was describing anyway. I looked, but there's nothing in there...Fudge is on the porch. So yeah, turned on hot water in the tub yesterday, the Barbie stove at it again.. Mal seeing moving light.. Yeah.. that was enough to give me the creeps this morning. What's coming now?
She further informed me that she's not going in that bathroom alone again.
(Me either, Mallory.. me either.)
We went to Mom's for a while yesterday evening...but I only took one picture. I don't know why I was so stingy with the picture taking this weekend.. I usually keep the camera in my hand.. I guess I was just busy or something. Anyway, the only photo I got was one of Dad at the kitchen table.

We took a ride out to Laurel Lake yesterday afternoon. The lake isn't frozen, but the river looks like a solid sheet of ice. I didn't get any river shots, but I got a couple of photos at the lake...

Doesn't that look cold? *shivers* Come on Spring! This has been one heck of a long winter.
Have a good day everyone! Stay warm!
I was sleeping so good.. then at 2 this morning the neighbor's dogs started barking so furiously they woke me up. I hate those dogs. I really, really hate them. I couldn't go back to sleep, so I did the laundry. Now I'm ahead of the day. Good thing because I'm gonna be too sluggish to want to do much later.
Bah on inconsiderate neighbors with dogs!
Lay down, sleep sweet, it's over now,
no pain or fear for you.
Furrowed lines gone from your brow,
nothing more for you to do.
Your smile is still and ethereal,
your hands no longer fretting.
No more for you this world's speel,
but I won't be forgetting.
That once upon a long ago,
You lived, oh you lived, my friend.
I can still hear your laughter you know,
it comes to me on the wind.
What's new.. what to say.. what to say. Nothing is new. Life is speeding past.. one day after the other. It's very cold here right now. I let Fudge in again tonight.. he's in the bathroom. He's been banished onto the porch when the kids are up.. he's been getting too aggressive with them. I wish he wouldn't do that.. I liked him in here. There though, he doesn't get enough to eat unless I stand there shooing the cats away. They take it from him. Why is he so pushy and snappish with the kids, but so submissive where the cats are?
I got Jennene's package back in the mail to her today. She should get it day after tomorrow.
Color-Rama came and picked up Sarah's computer night before last.
Let's see.. what else is new.. oh.. Mik hasn't coughed once tonight. I think her allergy shots were too strong for her this Friday. I'm going to have to remember and tell her nurse about that when we go back. She's sawing logs tonight. She was wore out.
She and Mallory have been quarrelling a lot the past couple of days. When I'm not in the same room to monitor them, it sounds like a war zone. Today I was in the kitchen cooking and I heard them bickering in the den. Mikyla sighed and
in the most exasperated voice I've ever heard, she informed Mallory that she was just "Annoyingtating". I guess that means more than annoying and irritating put together.
There was no school today..and there's no school tomorrow either because of the icy back roads. I'm glad. They don't like school and love snow days. I just like the sleeping in part. :)
They're talking about making it "child abuse" if a kid's fat - they're wanting to take the fat kids out of their homes..put them in foster care. I better start running Mikyla around the house.. stick at her heels.. "Run it off, girl, run it off!" Wait.. I think that might be considered abuse too. I need to get myself one of those "Child Abuse for Dummy's" handbooks. Sooo much to know!
I just wonder.. where they're gonna find foster parents for fat kids... they're already putting up posters begging for foster parents now.. someone's gotta take care of all the children whose parents are stoned out of their minds on pain pills and meth.. all those wonderfully home-wrecking drugs out there. Of course.. those kids aren't fat.. their parents can't remember to feed them..no wait.. it's not exactly that.. it's that they're using their food money to get their dope. Yeah! I see a fat kid these days I smile and say now there goes a kid with a straight Mama. I don't know what other problems that kid has.. but his Mama being on dope ain't one of 'em. God how I despise doping mothers.
The neighbor's dogs are barking up a storm. They've barked everynight for months now. You'd think I'd get used to it. Grrrr... I've bitched enough for one night. G'nite world!
Let 'em marry already.. they're not gonna give up 'till it happens.
Absurd Initiative Would Make Kids Mandatory
There's some real yahoos out there - why on earth would anyone try forcing them to procreate? Good Lord folks, don't take it out on innocent would be children.
The girls went to one of their little friends from school's birthday party Saturday at "Mr. Spa-ghatti's". They had a good time. :)

Look what was in my backyard day before yesterday!

Found this one on my camera.. I like black and white shots once in a while. :)

He went to the surgeon.. and the doc wouldn't do it.. he said the sore wasn't bad enough to require anything like that..and he gave Mom some more cream for his heel and said it should finish clearing up on its own. How 'bout that!
10 Tips: Grandparents Raising Grandchildren
How 'bout that?
We headed up there today, intending to get some photos, and I did get some, but it was snowing and that's one curvey, hilly road! When I got scared, we turned around and came back home. So here's what I got.. but.. I'm not really sure what's what. Anyway.. Enjoy!
On the way in..

The Back Track..

Kay Jay..

Shew! Look how slick that road was getting when we finally chickened out and headed back home. I know to city slickers it doesn't look too bad - but going over one of those bluffs wouldn't be much fun!

Anyway.. it was nice to get out of the house for a while - and if I heard correctly the Groundhog didn't see his shadow! YAY!! I'm ready for spring!
Dad's back home, we went to see him this evening, took him some lottery tickets...and I took Papaw some more paint sets, and one of them had markers...he opened it up and then he and Mallory set out to color it...

Y'know...I think I prefer the ol' rollin' eye thing...

Mallory!! Put your tongue back!!

Joel spent the night with Granny last night, and he's staying over there again tonight. He loves it there, and Granny said he's good company for them. Coolbeans! Can I give you another one.. or two.. or three for the night? *laughs*
Just kidding, just kidding. I'm glad Dad's safely home, and everyone is well, no one's sick at the moment, thank God.
Papaw is going to have to go in for surgery on his foot Monday, that bedsore he got in the nursing home has healed all it's going to.. it's small now, but there is some dead tissue that has to be removed. After that.. he should be right as rain and ready to go hiking! Okay, maybe not hiking, but he will be able to jog again! Okay, maybe he won't be jogging quite yet, but he sure will be getting around better and faster than ever! ;)
