What a wonderful Easter this was. The girls had such a good time.. everyone seemed content and happy. We all missed Dad but it wasn't a gloomy sad occasion, it was very nice. :)
Mom took the girls out last week and got them all three their Easter outfits, from their hats, down to their little shoes. They looked so pretty. I couldn't get over the itty bitty panty hose Mom found for Maegan.. honest to goodness panty hose. How sweet! Maegan loved how they felt on her legs. She likes to feel pretty. Thanks MOM, they looked like dolls today!
Dips and I got them big Easter baskets and we dyed the eggs last night. Mallory, leave it to Mallory, I'd have never thought to do this - she insisted we go get carrots and leave them on the table for the Easter Bunny.. and the bunny musta been hungry too, cuz they were all gone this morning and a thank you note was laying on the empty plate!
We were supposed to go out to eat, but Lisa decided to cook instead - the weather was supposed to get bad and we didn't want to get out in that. Dinner was delicious, that table couldn't hold any more food. Thanks, LISA, that was GOOD!
Lisa and Mom gave them baskets chock full of candy and stuffed bunnies and toys - playing cards, they LOVED their stuff.. Maegan's had the cutest little bunny ears hair band in it, and a little purse.. adorable things!
I sure appreciate you both for helping me give these kids the things they'd otherwise not have. I love you both, thank you. No one else bothers, no one else takes the time to look and see. I'm glad that you two do, thank you so much. The girls thank you too! :)
We hid eggs at Lisa's.. and Mikyla found the prize egg.. it had 20 bucks inside!! I want a prize egg like that!! Thanks Lisa & Nick!
Mallory found the 2nd place prize egg, and that one had 10 bucks inside!! I woudln't mind finding one like that either! Maegan found one too and danged if hers didn't have 10 dollars in it, and then to top it off, since Maegan found the most eggs, she got 5 dollars for that! Boy did they make out like bandits!
Mom bought me a coffeecup with a chocolate rabbit and the cutest little fiber optic easter egg tree, and Lisa gave me a solar plant, cutest thing that has 5 lighted flowers in it.. Thanks for everything, both of you!
After we left Lisa's we went to Bonnie's for an egg hunt. We gave Tristan and Joel and Bon and Kelly chocolate rabbits, and Mom and Lisa sent Tristan and Joel the cutest easter baskets, with a cowboy hat, stuffed animals, candy and chocolate, a foot ball.. the boys really liked their things, thanks yet again, Lisa and Mom. We didn't stay there long, maybe ten minutes, it was sooo cold and it was getting late. I kinda wish I'd taken some extra rabbits and snuck to the girls from Bonnie, Mik looked around and Mal was looking to see if they had a gift, but there wasn't one for them there - but even so, Mikyla got in her own basket and took out more chocolate to give to Joel What a doll! :) When we got home Maegan was so tired she climbed up on my bed and took a nap. Talk about a nice day, it really was a good one.
Their mom and dad called tonight at bedtime to see how their Easter went. They didn't talk long, but that was a nice treat for the girls - they haven't heard from them since last Sunday, so they enjoyed that. They didn't send them anything, but said that after they fix their truck they'll send them money for a puppy, and a trip to Disneyland. How cool is that?
Their Nana called too today, about 11:30 this morning, to see what our plans were for the day, and what time we'd be where. She said she'd like to see them, but wasn't sure if she was going to be able to because she's sick. She's been vomiting and had diariah.. and didn't want to give it to the girls, but if she felt better she'd come see them later tonight. We never did catch up with her, I guess she's still feeling bad. I'm glad though that we didn't catch up with her, not glad that she's sick, I really didn't want the girls to get sick again and they catch everything coming and going. When we do catch up with her, she's not gonna recognize the girls, she's not seen them since Christmas. She's going to be amazed at how much Maegan's grown!
I did get a few pics..

The girls know that Easter isn't just about dyed eggs, chocolate rabbits and gifts, but is a celebration of the resurrection of Christ. They like the gifts, no, they LOVE the gifts - but they love to give too. Their eyes were shining as they passed out the things we bought everyone else - they shared their candy and toys. They're good girls. Giving, loving girls. I'm so proud of them. I hope you all had a safe and Happy Easter. I love you all. Good night. :)
